Management of Wisconsin International University College Ghana has donated computers and accessories to the Ga East Education Directorate to support the teaching and learning of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in schools within the municipality.
The presentation was made by the President of the university, Dr. Lawrence Kannae, during a brief ceremony attended by the Municipal Chief Executive for Ga East Municipality, the Municipal Director of Education, and officials from both institutions.

Presenting the equipment, Dr. Kannae emphasized the importance of technology in modern education and urged staff of the Education Directorate to make the most of the computers by ensuring that students who use them are adequately prepared for the demands of an increasingly technological and globalized world.
He noted that digital literacy has become an essential skill for success in the 21st century and expressed confidence that the donation would contribute significantly to improving ICT education in schools across the municipality.

Dr. Kannae further expressed hope that the gesture would serve as a foundation for deeper collaboration between Wisconsin International University College Ghana, the Ga East Education Directorate, and the Municipal Assembly in other areas of mutual interest.
The Wisconsin President also encouraged the Education Directorate and the Municipal Assembly to take advantage of the university’s educational opportunities and special discounts available to institutions seeking to build the capacity of their staff. He highlighted critical areas of study such as Nursing, Cybersecurity, Law, Business Administration, Communication Studies, Early Childhood Education, and several other professional programmes offered by the university.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Education Directorate, the Municipal Chief Executive Mr Edmund Agbo commended Wisconsin International University College Ghana for its continued commitment to the development of education and human capital within the municipality and the country as a whole.
He praised the university for its longstanding contributions to community development and called for increased collaboration between Wisconsin International University College Ghana and the Ga East Municipal Assembly to advance educational and socio-economic development in the municipality.
The donation forms part of Wisconsin International University College Ghana’s corporate social responsibility initiatives aimed at supporting education, skills development, and community advancement across Ghana.
