The Wisconsin International University College Community Engagement, Empowerment and Partnership for Sustainability (CEEPS) is in line with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals including goals to ensure: 

  • All girls and boys have access to quality early childhood development, care and preprimary education so that they are ready for primary education
  • Substantially increase the number of youth and adults who have relevant skills, including technical and vocational skills, for employment, decent jobs and entrepreneurship


These we believe are blueprints to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. CEEPS is also an interaction with and collaboration between our University, its staff and students, and the wider community for the mutually beneficial exchange of knowledge and resources in a context of partnership and mutuality.


Through our CEEPS initiative we believe we can advance our goals to become the first-choice private university in Ghana with highly qualified, engaged, Empowered and motivated staff and students.


To raise the profile of our university in the eyes of our publics as the first-choice private university in Ghana with highly qualified, engaged, Empowered and motivated staff and students.


To engage and empower our community members through effective communication, research, open learning and volunteerism to deliver a sustainable socially relevant impact.

  • Make quality education accessible to all while fostering creativity
  • Enhance teaching and learning in an open and fun manner
  • Stimulate engaged citizenship and contribute to the revival of neighborhoods and community wellbeing through deliberate partnership with both local and international organizations, businesses and industry.
  • To encourage the spirit of community-based learning, volunteering and outreach.

At WIUC-Ghana, we see it as a civic and social duty to put our resources and facility at the disposal of our community, region, and/or nation to stimulate action that contributes to a civil and sustainable society that breaks barriers.

The purpose of this document is to provide an overview and approach on how WIUC-Ghana engages with its community in projecting an awareness of community engagement in order to;

  • Build trust between our university and our community
  • Influence knowledge and resources;
  • Ensure mutual relations with external communities to stimulate actions that contribute to a civil and sustainable society.
  • Identify opportunities for strategic partnership with groups that share in WIUC-Ghana Vision.
  • Encourage buy-ins internally for engagement and support for CEEPS initiatives.

Engage, Empower, Partner and Sustain

Engagement: Digital engagement is an important part of developing our CEEPS strategy that will help to inform the strategy’s evolution while addressing needs related to WIUC-Ghana engagement needs through networking and open communication

Empowerment: We believe in collaborating with individuals, groups, organizations and the community at large to empower communities to break barriers and bias around gender, religion, poverty and education.

Partnership: Through a sustained partnership drive between us and our communities, we can work together with the primary purpose of undertaking collective research for knowledge generation and utilization for community development and empowerment.

Sustainability: Our sustainability drive provides us with the critical foundational education and tools necessary to produce real, lasting changes in our communities and world at large for future generations to come.

  • Public engagement:

Our periodic publications, public lectures, workshops, exhibition, and interactions on social media engagements with the general public would cement our existing the relationship and foster new ones.

  • Schools Engagements:

Through our marketing and recruitment strategies with embark on frequent engagements with schools as part of broadening participation and seeking to raise aspiration through IT workshops, career guidance, open days, teacher and student volunteering and other sports activities in first and second cycle schools.

  • Corporate/Business engagement:

This largely falls around our career services and guidance programmes and strategy to expose our students and internal publics to the “Real World” through various workshops and engagements that creates the platform for both industry players and

students to interact. This is in line with our drive to a more practical teaching and learning.

  • Engagement with Alumni

Alumni play an important in our sustainability programme. Through our Alumni office we endeavor to reach out to all past students of the university to continually assist and support in various ways in driving our success agenda. Annual dinnars, workshops, fundraising and reunions are mostly tools used in achieving this.

  • International Engagement

Our International Relations office remains a vibrant nucleus of the university. With over 30 nationalities and 20 languages spoken on campus, our international engagements ensures an atmosphere unity in diversity making us truly international. Through cultural and social events we maintain and build the links between our international students and their host community for cordiality.

  • Government/CSO Engagement:

The state remains a key player in our drive to produce quality graduates that impact society. Top management and staff engage in frequent interaction with government through its parliament and other agencies in knowledge exchange networking to ensure evidence and research inform responsible policy-making.
