First Ever Independent Paper Based Occupational English Test Launched in Ghana

Wisconsin International University College, Ghana (WIUC-Ghana) has launched the first ever independent paper based Occupational English Test (OET) centre in Ghana, at its main campus in Accra.

The event was held on Tuesday October 11, 2022

The OET is an international test that assesses the English language and clinical communication skills of healthcare professionals who seek to register and work in an English-speaking country.

Launch and unveiling of OET

The centre which was established through a partnership agreement between the University and the Cambridge Boxhill Language Assessment Institute, and equipped with all facilities according to OET standards will see its first batch of candidates take their test on November 19, 2022.

Speaking at the launch, the president of the WIUC-Ghana, Professor Obeng-Mireku mentioned that this latest milestone is in line with the university’s mission to develop world class human resources equipped with appropriate knowledge, skills and attitudes to meet national development needs, and global challenges through quality teaching, learning research, knowledge dissemination and collaboration with key stakeholders.
