I.T SUPPORT UNIT TAKE FRESHERS THROUGH TUTORIALS ON ONLINE LECTURES

Freshmen at the Wisconsin International University College, Ghana (WIUC-GH) were given a heads up in the online teaching mode. In an exercise held amidst strict adherence to the Covid 19 safety protocols and supervised by the I.T support unit of the university by Mr. Edwin Agbah, level 100 students were taken through Zoom and Google classroom training to ensure the smooth running of online lectures. This had become necessary due to the suspension of in-person classroom teaching currently being observed by most tertiary institutions in Ghana.

As a first step, all newly admitted registered students got their official student emails set-up to serve as the primary official communication channel within this Covid era. As part of the training process, students were taken through the procedures for registering and logging into Google classroom portals that will allow for easy and seamless interaction between the students and their lecturers.

Students were exposed to other areas in order to properly navigate their way through classes, view due dates of lectures, review assignments as well as changing passwords and notifications.

Meanwhile fresh students have been advised to contact the I.T support unit for any assistance concerning the online lectures.
