WISCONSIN LAW STUDENTS PAY COURTESY CALL ON CHIEF OF STAFF AT THE JUBILEE HOUSE

The Law Students Union Executives of the Wisconsin International University College (LSU) led by its President, Rev. Kofi Oduro Ofori-Agyeman-Prempeh have paid a courtesy call on the Chief of Staff, Hon. FremaOpare and her deputy Hon. Francis Asenso Boakye at the Jubilee House.

Amongst many subjects discussed was the cost of legal education in Ghana, availability of scholarship packages to support legal education, internal and external internship opportunities for law students, exchange programs for transfer of experience and capacity building as well as support for female law students among others.

The Executives used the occasion to appeal to government through the deputy chief of staff to find more innovative ways of encouraging and supporting female into law education towards achieving Sustainable Development goal in the area of gender equality.

The Hon. Chief of Staff echoed government’s commitment to education as a whole as shown in the President’s policy and agenda in the areas of education and women empowerment.

The Chief of Staff later commended the Wisconsin International University College of its contribution towards building the human resource of the country and Africa, and the rapid growth the school has seen in the last few years.

The LSU P.R.O. Stephanie SuguruDinko used the opportunity to formally extend an invitation to both the President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo as Special Guest of Honor at the first ever Professor Offei Chair & Annual Memorial lectures expected to come off next year.

The Executives later presented souvenirs on behalf of Wisconsin International University College and the Law faculty to the President and Vice President of Ghana through the Chief of Staff.
