Cyber Security Authority Visits Wisconsin University to Strengthen Cybersecurity Collaboration

As part of efforts to strengthen existing partnerships, a delegation from the Cyber Security Authority (CSA), led by the Acting Director-General, Mr. Divine Selase Agbeti, undertook a study visit to the Accra campus of Wisconsin International University College, Ghana.

The delegation toured various faculties, including the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology, which houses a state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence (AI) laboratory and a Digital Forensics laboratory.

In a meeting with the University’s management, Mr. Agbeti indicated that cybersecurity is not cheap and thus lauded the University’s commitment to advancing cybersecurity in the country, stating that the CSA, as a regulatory institution, serves not as a competitor but as an enabler, and is therefore committed to fostering an environment conducive to private sector innovation and growth.

He also commended the University for its continued support of the National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM) and explored avenues to further deepen collaboration.

The Chancellor of the University, Dr. Paul Kofi Fynn, applauded the CSA’s commitment to developing cybersecurity in the country. He reaffirmed the University’s commitment to supporting cybersecurity activities, particularly in the areas of capacity building and awareness creation for NCSAM and other initiatives.
