CALL FOR SUBMISSION FOR 2024 FUTURE COMMUNICATORS FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP FOR COMMUNICATIONSTUDIES STUDENTS

Wisconsin International University College, Ghana is pleased to announce the opening of the 2024 Future Communicators Foundation Scholarship, to offer scholarships to students in the School of Communication Studies (SCS) of the university. The scholarship opportunity is a partnership between Mahogany Consult and the Future Communicators Foundation (FCF), an initiative of the PR Trust and marks the second year of this unique opportunity, aimed at empowering 3rd and 4th-year communication students with valuable academic and professional experiences.

The scholarships, valued at USD $625 each, cover the equivalent of two years’ tuition fees for four deserving students.

This year’s theme, “Communicating the Climate Crisis: Motivating and Measuring Behavioral Change,” challenges students to develop campaigns addressing climate change using cost-effective resources. The campaigns will not only showcase their creativity but also encourage social responsibility and sustainability in communication.

In addition to financial support, awardees will have the privilege of mentorship from Mahogany Consult, a leading PR and Events consultancy in Ghana, further enhancing their professional growth. Previous years winners of the scholarship are ace journalist Bismark Brown and Collins Badewa.

The FCF initiative, driven by The PR Trust—a Canadian non-profit organization which focuses on supporting aspiring professionals in communication through scholarships, networking, and knowledge-sharing platforms.

Mr. Fidel Tetteh, the coordinator for the School of Communication Studies at WIUC, will work closely with Madam Rebecca Kumi and the Mahogany Consult team to facilitate student participation and ensure adherence to submission guidelines.

The Dean of the School of Communication at Wisconsin International University College, Ghana Madam Baaba Coffie acknowledged the continued support of Mahogany Consult and the Future Communicators Foundation, and anticipates an even greater success this year.
