Wisconsin International University College Ghana has awarded certificates to its latest graduates in its Certificate in Music programme. The 12-week certificate program took students through intensive training in Music in Worship, Special Artiste and Audio engineering in music.
At a short ceremony to honor the graduates, Dean of the School of Communication Studies Dr. Kweku Rockson admonished students to take advantage of the skills they have acquired to make a business. He added that music has moved from just a hobby to a multi-million business and therefore studying music in a formal manner gave them the upper-hand. Dr. Kweku Rockson further added that Wisconsin was not a school for just theory but practical to give students an all-round education.
Also present at the ceremony was renowned composer and Coordinator for the Wisconsin Music School Rev Newlove Annan who commended the students for the sheer dexterity they exhibited during their study and tasked them to “reach for the sky”. He announced the Wisconsin Music school is rolling out a Bachelor of Arts Music Study programme in September 2021. The Bachelor’s degree programme in Music will equip motivated students with theoretical, conceptual and technical skills needed to excel as professional musicians and by extension artists of international repute.
The graduation event saw performances from Pastor Edwin Dadson, a renowned music worship leader and many more.
