Wisconsin International University College Ghana (WIUC-GH) has received a set of books from the Mt St. Joseph University Cincinnati Ohio at a short presentation ceremony. Presenting the books on behalf of Mt.St. Joseph University Dr. John Amankwah said the books ranged from different fields in Biological science, sports, and business administration. He added that this was one of several donations they were hoping to make to Wisconsin to further solidify the partnership between the two Universities.
The President of Wisconsin International University College Ghana (WIUC-GH) Professor Obeng Mireku who received the books on behalf of the WIUC-GH said it was a great element of surprise for St. Joseph University to select WIUC-GH for such a donation, hence had opened opportunities for partnerships among both institutions.
Professor Obeng Mireku however bemoaned the poor reading habit amongst the youth as result of over concentration on social media and promised the books will be used to promote the reading culture. The books according to the President will be beneficial to faculty members in terms of research and knowledge assimilation.
The University Librarian Dr. Theresa Adu thanked Mt.St. Joseph University Cincinnati Ohio for the kind gesture and assured the books were going to be put to good use. The donation was also witnessed by the Registrar Mr. Frank Yeboah, Dean of the School of Communication Dr. Kweku Rockson amongst other members of faculty.
