
Wisconsin International University College (WIUC), Ghana, is proud to celebrate one of its finest, Mr. Dunstan GUBA, a distinguished cybersecurity expert in Ghana, for coming second runner-up and a silver medal at the INTERPOL Digital Security Challenge 2025 held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Representing both the Ghana Police Service and the Republic of Ghana, Mr. GUBA stood tall among participants from over 100 countries and elite cybersecurity professionals in one of the world’s most competitive and technically demanding cybercrime simulations. His outstanding performance not only earned him international acclaim but also spotlighted the calibre of excellence nurtured at Wisconsin.
Mr. Dunstan GUBA is an integral part of the Wisconsin Digital Forensic Laboratory, a state-of-the-art facility that has become a national asset in the fight against cybercrime. He plays a vital role in real-world cybersecurity operations, including vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and ethical hacking. His remarkable achievement is a testament to the strong academic foundation and practical training provided by Wisconsin International University College, Accra-Ghana.

At the challenge in Malaysia, Mr. GUBA competed in high-stakes cybersecurity scenarios that tested skills in memory forensics, ransomware decryption, advanced malware analysis, and real-time threat detection, areas he has honed right here at Wisconsin. “Placing third globally and securing a silver medal is a personal triumph, a victory for WIUC-GHANA, and a moment of pride for Ghana and Africa’s cybersecurity ecosystem”, he says.
Mr. GUBA’s success sends a strong message to all WIUC students that “world-class excellence is attainable through discipline, hands-on training, and the right opportunities”. He remains actively involved in mentoring students, guiding them toward careers in cybersecurity, digital investigations, and cyber law enforcement.
