Management, staff, students, friends and family members joined in honouring Wisconsin International University College, Ghana’s founder, Dr Paul Kofi Fynn as he marked his 85th birthday. The event, held in grand style, coincided with the official launch of the university’s 25th-anniversary celebrations, making it a double milestone for the Wisconsin community.
Family, friends, faculty, students, and well-wishers gathered to celebrate the Chancellor with heartfelt prayers, tributes, and expressions of gratitude for his remarkable contributions to higher education in Ghana and beyond.

Representatives from the Chancellor’s family, the university’s Corporate Social Responsibility arm, Dada Foundation, Students and Alumni and the Management and staff of the university took turns to deliver goodwill messages to the Chancellor.
In a symbolic gesture of love and appreciation, the Chancellor’s family presented him with a tree, a tribute to his deep-rooted love for nature. The university’s management also gifted him a beautifully customized smock adorned with the institution’s 25th-anniversary logo. The Dada Foundation followed suit with a thoughtful commemorative gift of a timeless clock.
The event was graced by several distinguished guests, including Nana Addae Gyamera I, Chief of Feyiase in Kumasi, and the Honourable Member of Parliament for the Dome-Kwabenya Constituency, Honourable Faustina Elikplim Akurugu. University officials, faculty members, and students were also present, while the Greater Accra Regional Mass Choir elevated the celebration with uplifting musical performances.
In his address, the Chancellor expressed profound gratitude to his family, the university community, and all who took part in the celebration. He emphasized that his accomplishments were not his alone but a testament to the collective effort and dedication of everyone who has supported the university’s mission. He urged all present to continue working together to advance community development through education.
