Dr. Paul Kofi Fynn Honored with Grand Medal at 2024 National Honors and Awards

The Chancellor of Wisconsin International University College, Ghana, Dr. Paul Kofi Fynn, was celebrated for his outstanding contributions to media and education at the prestigious 2024 National Honors and Awards ceremony held on December 30, 2024, at the Accra International Conference Center. The event, presided over by His Excellency President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, recognized exemplary Ghanaians for their selfless and dedicated service to the nation.

Dr. Fynn received the Grand Medal in recognition of his visionary leadership, which has transformed Wisconsin International University College, Ghana, into one of the nation’s most respected tertiary institutions. In 2024 alone, Wisconsin International University College won the Ghana Business Award for Best Education Institution and the Cybersecurity Authority Award for Best Institutional Collaboration. Dr. Fynn himself was also celebrated with a Lifetime Achievement Award in Ghana and an Honorary Doctorate conferred by the Iringa University in Tanzania, solidifying his legacy as a trailblazer in education and leadership.

The ceremony brought together a host of dignitaries, including Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo, Ministers of State, and other high-ranking government officials. Vice President Dr. Bawumia, in particular, received the nation’s highest honor, the Order of the Star of Ghana, underscoring the high-profile nature of the event.
