Wisconsin International University College Holds 20th Matriculation Ceremony

On Saturday, September 21, 2024, Wisconsin International University College Ghana held its 20th matriculation ceremony at the Accra campus, welcoming 2,243 new students made up of 497 males and 1,746 females into the university community.

The event brought together key figures, including the President of the university, the Council Chair, the Registrar, Deputy Registrar, Faculty members, Staff, the SRC President, and a large number of students. The ceremony was opened by the Council Chair, who warmly welcomed the attendees and thanked parents for their continued support of the university. He encouraged the new students to take full advantage of the diverse academic environment and build meaningful relationships across various disciplines.

In his address, the President commended the students for choosing Wisconsin International University College as their academic home. He stated, “You have made the right decision by choosing Wisconsin. Here, we offer more than just education; we are a hub of excellence, dedicated to providing a transformative learning experience. We eagerly look forward to celebrating your success in a few years when you will proudly wear your academic regalia at graduation.”

Following his address, the Registrar administered the matriculation oath, which the new students recited collectively. The President then officially admitted the students into the university, marking the beginning of their academic journey.

Student representatives from the various schools signed the Matriculation Book on behalf of their peers, symbolizing their formal enrollment. A representative of the matriculants also took the stage to express the expectations of the new students, extending gratitude to the university management for their warm welcome and support.

The ceremony concluded with a procession, as the new students embarked on their academic journey with optimism and enthusiasm.
