THE DADA FOUNDATION ORGANIZE SEMINAR THEMED “EMPOWERING THE MIDWIFE FOR DEVELOPMENT”

Dada Foundation in collaboration with Ghana Registered Midwives Association & Wisconsin International University College has organized a seminar themed “Empowering the Midwife for Development “at the Chartered Institute of Bankers hall. 

The main objectives of the seminar was to raise awareness of the insurance of midwifery practice, building capacity in respectful care, increase knowledge of medico-legal issues as well as identifying financing options in promoting midwifery entrepreneurship.

Chairperson for the event was Mrs. Mona Quartey (Chairperson Dada Foundation) who had Mrs. Veronica Dzomeku (Associate Professor KNUST), Mr. Derrick Ewudzie-Odoom – Country Director, Medical Credit Fund –PharmaAccess Group as facilitators to enrich the audience with their presentations. A representative of the Nursing and Midwifery Council also had an opportunity to address the audience on the theme and the measures the  regulatory authorities are taking to ensure that working conditions are improved.

The event was interactive as it allowed both audience in person and on Zoom to join the conversation with their questions and submissions from practicing and student midwives.
