WIUC 14 TH CONGREGATION CEREMONY HELD.

Wisconsin International University College, Ghana, Last Saturday organized its 14th congregation ceremony at the Charismatic Evangelistic Ministry auditorium at North Legon in Accra.
The theme for the graduation ceremony was “NAVIGATING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC AND QUALITY ASSURANCE AT WIUC-GH”.

In a speech read by the Chancellor of the university, Rev. Dr. Paul Fynn, he mentioned that the graduands should always remember as they leave the walls of the university, God, their parents, lecturers, and the management are the brains behind their success. He also urged the graduands to always listen attentively, observe assiduously before making a decision. They must also avail themselves to be taught and to be corrected when they go wrong.
The president of WIUC, Professor Obeng Mireku, noted that the impact of the covid-19, both positive and negative, cannot be over-emphasized as an institution of higher learning. He also added that WIUC could not but adopt through improvisation to ensure that it maintains the quality of teaching and learning amidst the disruptions. He congratulated the graduands for their resilience and cooperation in embarking on this journey. He also urged them to go into the job market with a high sense of ingenuity, grit, and innovation.

14th Congregation

The valedictorian, Collins Junior Addae, who graduated with a Bachelor of Business Studies in Banking and Finance and with a GPA of 3.87, gave a traditional valedictorian speech. He thanked faculty, administrators, and staff of the university, as well as the families of the graduating students for their support.

He reminded his colleagues that every single hurdle they had faced in their line of study was to teach them important values which will equip them for the real world. He advised his fellow graduands to uphold the values they had acquired in the university in order to be
successful and achieve excellence at all levels.

WIUC graduated a total of 1,127 students. This is made up of 1,062 undergraduate students, 50 post-graduate students, and 15 Diploma students. The 1,062 undergraduate students comprise 729 females representing 68.7% and 333 males representing 31.3%. Out of the 1,127 students who graduated, 98 had First class honors, 498 had Second Class Upper, 333 had Second Class lower, 110 had Third Class and 25 students had Pass.

Long Service Award Presented at 14th Congregation

Mr. Collins Junior Addae, Mr. Richard Twumasi, and Mr. Timothy Torsoo won the Best Graduating Student, The Best Accounting Student, and The Best Post Graduate student respectively. Mr. Harry Bamfo of the business school won the Best Lecturer award. Other
lecturers, Deans, and some members of management won awards for their long service to the University.
