Paralegal Studies

Overview

Participants in this programme will build on their knowledge and skill in the following areas:

• Introduction to Paralegal Studies
• Legal Ethics & Communication Skills
• Ghana Legal System & Constitutional Law
• Legal Research Methods
• Elements of the Law of Contract & Criminal Law
• Legal Drafting• Introduction to Administrative Law and Tort
• Dispute Resolution (Litigation, ADR etc.)
• Introduction to Criminal and Civil Procedure
• Crisis Management (Bomb threat management)
• Investigative Report Writing

Eligibility

Applicants will normally be expected to have completed GCE “O” Level, SSSCE/ WASSCE, and HND or possess equivalent qualification.  Application forms may be collected from the Reception at Wisconsin Main Campus (Agbogba) or City Campus (near GBC).

• Participants will also fit into job openings in the public and private sectors as security coordinators/ managers or operate as security officers in different environments such as university campuses, banks, district assemblies, hospitals, among others.
