Starting with a modest figure from its first cohort in 2017 who gained admission into the Ghana School of Law, Wisconsin’s numbers into the Ghana School of Law have grown significantly, reaching an impressive 121 students accepted into the Ghana School of Law in the 2024 entrance alone. This upward trajectory highlights the university’s unique position as a private institution that competes on par with and often exceeds the output of well-established public universities in the country.
The Dean of the Law Faculty, Dr Peter Alex Wiredu, a former Commissioner of Police and Former comptroller of Ghana immigration service with vast experience in both law enforcement and legal practice, shared his pride and excitement about these achievements. He credited the success to Wisconsin’s focus on experiential learning, where classroom education is seamlessly blended with hands-on training. Wisconsin’s law students gain practical skills through various initiatives, including access to a fully equipped moot court for trial simulations, mentorship programs with practicing legal professionals, and a comprehensive, resource-rich library tailored to their studies.
