WISCONSIN SIGN PACT WITH GERMAN INSTITUTE OF BUSINESS AND TECHNOLOGY TO TRAIN ICT STUDENTS

Wisconsin International University College (WIUC-GH) has entered into a memorandum of understanding with the German Institute of Business and Technology (GIBT) to train students of the university pursuing computing and technology and related courses. 

The programme which is fully funded by the German Government is open to final year students of the university is to develop and empower students in critical skills training in highly sought-after industrial fields like Data Science, Software Engineering and Cloud Technologies. Interested students would go through a rigorous selection process to be selected among students from other top universities globally. Local partners for the German Institute of Business and Technology (GIBT) Azubi Africa who are responsible for coordinating the project in Ghana would also take best performing recruits through internship programs and equip them with industry standard certifications. Beneficiaries of the programme can sit for professional ICT certification examination at no cost to them. 

This project and partnership is aimed at getting students to take up roles and challenges that positively impacts their respective communities while assisting as facilitators with the option for job placement roles on the Azubi Africa Program. Additionally beneficiaries can benefit from a chance to get selected for Microsoft Certified training on any track of choice (I.T related).

The Acting. Director for Public Affairs and Marketing Mr. Nurudeen Mohammed who said the pact on behalf of Wisconsin International University College expressed utmost delight at the opportunities open to students and was hopeful this collaboration would birth many more fruitful partnerships in the future.
