Wisconsin University to Participate in 2019 HR Focus Business Sense Challenge

Wisconsin International University College, WIUC-Ghana Business School will compete for gold in the 3rd edition of HR Focus Business Sense Challenge. This would be the second time running WIUC is participating in the competition and would come against 6 others universities; University of Ghana Business School, Ashesi University, KAAF University, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Pentecost University College and University of Professional Studies- Accra. The competition which was launched in Accra on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at the Standard Chartered Bank head office in Accra is focused on creating innovative solutions to digital banking campaign.

The 5 member WIUC-Ghana also known as the Team-Wizzy which includes two ladies have expressed confidence in winning the competition. The team leader Nana Yaw Sawyer who received the challenge document on behalf of Wisconsin Business School at the launch assured their preparedness to beat all the competing schools to win gold saying ‘We will stand on the shoulders of our predecessors and win the ultimate prize this time round’. He further called for the support of students, staff and all alumni of WIUC to ensure a win.

The HR Focus Business Challenge is an annual competition for university students to create innovative solutions to everyday problems and win prizes. The head of Human Resources of Standard Chartered Bank Africa, Middle East and Asia Mrs. Millicent Clakke who launched the contest admonished competing teams to give off their best. On her part, the head of HR of Standard Chartered Bank Ghana pledged to enroll all teams who make it to the next round of the competition to do their National Service in her bank.
