The overall goal of an internship is to give you practical skills, workplace experience and an in depth knowledge of that industry. An internship can be either paid or voluntary.
Internships are a great way to gain practical experience that prepares you for the world of world. It is a great way to develop and enhance relevant career soft skills such as problem solving, time management, teamwork and client relationship management. You are equipped with a range of transferable skills and you get to enrich your network. It also adds up as experience on your CV for most entry level positions.
As much as possible look out for internship opportunities within your circles i.e your community, church, departments, district assembly etc
You can gain an internship through:

- Attending career fairs
- Family and friends connections
- Personal research on the internet
- Involvement in extracurricular activity
