Wisconsin has campuses in two of the biggest cities in Ghana, Accra and Kumasi. The Accra campus is located at North Legon, opposite the Legon Botanical Gardens. In addition to the main campus in Accra, Wisconsin also runs a city campus in the heart of the city Accra, located adjacent the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation. The Kumasi campus is located at Feyiase along the lake Bosumtwe road.

Wisconsin is accredited by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (formerly NAB).

Wisconsin is affiliated to the four traditional universities in Ghana, namely University of Ghana, KNUST, UCC and the UDS.

Wisconsin has created various options and payment avenues for the convenience of students anywhere in the world.

You can conveniently pay for the OSN from any country with the use of Debit card/credit card/ Flutterwave/Mobile Money.

Simply click on www.wiuc-ghana.edu.gh and proceed to “How to Apply”
to complete purchase of OSN (via mobile money, flutterwave, debit or
credit card) and application.

Visit the university website and purchase an Online Serial Number (OSN) either through momo, credit/debit card or flutterwave. Check your email or spam folders for your OSN with which to proceed to the admission portal to begin registration.

Please report to the Finance department and pay for a replacement. 

The average duration is between two weeks to one month provided all documentations necessary for processing admissions are intact.

The student loan is only open to local students.

Wisconsin enhances experiential learning in all programmes offered. This is made possible with the establishment of state-of-the-art learning facilities such as the Nursing Skill Laboratory, School of Communication Broadcasting Studio, Music School Recording studio, Law Moot Court, the fully fitted IT Laboratory etc.

WASSCE & SSSCE

Depending on once choice of programme, the admission requirement ranges from passes in WASSCE & SSSCE with six credits (A1-C6) in English, Mathematics and Integrated Science (Biology or Agricultural Science for Nigerian applicants) or Social Studies, and three elective subjects, making an aggregate of no more than 36. Candidates must have six credits (A1-C6) in English, Mathematics and Integrated Science (Biology or Agricultural Science for Nigerian applicants) or Social Studies, and three elective subjects, making an aggregate of no more than 36. For SSSCE, candidates must have six credits (A-D) in the three Core Subjects and three electives, making an aggregate of no more than 24.

Mature Students

Candidates must be at least 25 years old and must write and pass an entrance examination in English, Mathematics, IT and General Business. They may also be required to attend an interview.

Professional Certification

Graduate

Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with at least a Second Class Lower division. Applicants should ideally have post-qualification work experience. Applicants may be required to pass a selection interview.

Professional Applicants

Applicants who hold membership of a recognized professional body such as Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICAG), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA), Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), and Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) may be considered for admission.

NB: Applicants with GCE, ICGSE, GBCE, ABCE, Baccalaureate, Professional Courses (ICA, ACCA, CIM etc) and HND, among others may contact us for levels of placement.

The Access Course is the equivalent to the Matured entry for the Nursing Programme. Students who wish to pursue any of the nursing programmes with a HAC, NAP, NMC certificate or diploma (below a pass mark of 2.5) will be required to do a six weeks access course before being admitted into the degree programme.

Candidates who have taken accredited Nursing programmes in approved tertiary institutions may be considered for admission on advance standing. Each case will be considered on its own merit.

Diploma Holders

Holders of a Diploma in Nursing from recognized institutions and a pass in the licensure examination conducted by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana will be admitted to level 300. 

Other Mature Candidates

Professional nurses with Diploma in Nursing Education/Administration with a minimum of B+ average will enter at level 200. These professional nurses include midwives and registered mental health nurses

State Registered Nurses (enter the programme in the second year)

Auxiliary nurses such as health assistant clinical personnel, Community will enter the programme at level 200 and 100 respectively after a selection examination.

Mature students who are not professional nurses at the time of admission should have the minimum requirement for admission as stated for SSSCE/WASSCE.

As part of the NMC’s requirements for nurses, foreign students must have the WASSE/SSSCE equivalent for admission into the programme. Foreign students must have result slips translated into English. The results must meet the set standards for the programme. In addition, applicants must be able to speak and write fluently in English.

An alternative entry into the degree programme is the Mature entry application. Candidates must be at least 25 years old only and must sit for a six weeks course after which they must write and pass an entrance examination in English, Mathematics, IT and General Business. They may also be required to attend an interview.

Hostels facilities are available to students on first-come-first-serve bases with room rates based on number of occupancy and type of fittings. Yes. Wisconsin offers a very flexible study option to student. In addition to our regular session we also offer both weekend (9am-5pm) and evening (5pm-9pm) classes both at the undergraduate and post-gradaute level. We also run the City campus in heart of the central business district of the capital for the working class.

The Wisconsin on-campus clinic is a fully functional and well-stocked health post manned by a professional and experience medical practitioner who serves the entire university community including both staff and students.

Wisconsin is located in the sprawling urban community with bustling activities. The university campuses and its hostels are walled and manned by a 24-hour security detail.

Yes, we do accept transfer applicants

Candidates who are enrolled in other universities but which to transfer to Wisconsin International University College (WIUC-Gh), may do so by apply with their university transcripts and accompanying ssce or wasce result slips.

Depending on one’s country of origin, one may need a visa or not. For instance, most West African nationals do not require VISA to Ghana. Most nationals are also given Visa on arrival. What one needs to regularize their stay is a residence permit which the university offers free of charge to students.
