PROFILE OF DEPUTY REGISTRAR (ACADEMIC AFFAIRS)
Joel A. Idun-Acquah is an Educationist with experience in different administrative positions, namely, human resource, admissions, student affairs, academic affairs, data management and examinations. Joel is a principled administrator with a strong and demonstrated sense of public morality and integrity. He has attended seminars/conferences and presented opinions (memos etc.) that have influenced policy decisions at both local and international levels.
As a professional teacher, Mr. Idun-Acquah has taught at basic, secondary and tertiary institutions. He also worked with the Human Resource Management unit of the Ghana Education Service Headquarters, as well as the ICT in Education unit of the Ministry of Education.
Joel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Diploma in Education from the University of Cape Coast, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Ghana. His intellectual and administrative skills have been enhanced through his participation in training programmes in governance and leadership with Azusa Pacific University, Data Management and Analysis at ISSER and integration of sustainable development issues and technology in learning from the World Bank Institute.
Mr. Idun-Acquah serves on a number of committees of the University College (e.g. Academic Board, Executive Committee of Academic Board, Academic Planning Committee, and Timetable Committee among others).
