Wisconsin only private university to mark Library Week

Wisconsin has lived up to its ‘Leaders in International Education’ slogan by becoming the only private university in Ghana to mark National Library and Information Week. The week, from October 26-30, was celebrated through various activities, including a demonstration of how to access e-resources, a trial of the new WIUCCat database, an exhibition by publishers, a nationalities corner and on-the-spot prizes.

WISCONSIN WELCOMES 2015 MATRICULANTS

A warm Wisconsin welcome was extended to 1,066 new students at the University’s 13th Matriculation Ceremony. The students, who come from 14 countries, joined the University during the 2015/2016 academic year. Among them were Wisconsin’s first-ever matriculants on the BA Communication Studies, BA Rural Development and Ecotourism and BSc Economics programmes.

‘Wizzy Choir’ set for TV fame

The limelight beckons for Wisconsin’s University Choir who are preparing to enter a TV reality gospel choral competition. Wizzy’s choir leader Fauster Kromoah-Kwame, who attended the launch of the University Gospel Choir of the Year competition at the Accra World Trade Centre, says the choir is putting in their best effort to prepare.
